Catalba Trees – $20

3 gal. 2-3 ft. tall. Catalpa Trees are popular with people who need bait for fishing. They are the sole source of food for Catalpa Worms – a caterpillar that eventually becomes the Catalpa Sphinx Moth. The trees have beautiful and plentiful white blooms. Typically, Catalpa Worms will hatch from their eggs around mid-May each year after the trees reach maturity. It takes five to seven years for the tree to reach maturity and bloom, which attracts the Sphinx Moth. Our trees are three to four years old. They do best in full sun or partial shade with a moist or wet soil site.
